5-Star Review for Mala Town My friends and I had an incredible dinner at Mala Town, and I can’t recommend it enough! The service was outstanding from start to finish. The atmosphere was lively and welcoming, making it a perfect spot for a night out. The food was absolutely delicious, with bold flavors that left us all impressed. We did have a minor issue with one of the meats being a bit too chewy, but when we mentioned it to our waiter, they handled it with utmost courtesy. Not only did they promptly replace it with a different meat, but they also provided a generous portion, which was above and beyond what we expected. The entire staff was attentive and made our experience truly enjoyable. Mala Town nailed the combination of great food, excellent service, and a vibrant vibe. It’s a must-visit for anyone craving tasty hotpot! Highly recommended!

If you want that build your hot pot experience, this is a good place. They charge by weight so you can have as much or a few things on your plate. Keep in mind what soup you will choose when picking food items. I chose mostly seafood and 3 different mushrooms.

Tried the Signature Dry Mix (Mild Spicy). Very tasty, rich sesame sauce that is not too overwhelming, accompanied by tasty roasted peanuts. Service was good too. When we feedback that the garlic-seasoned tender beef was not fully cooked (due to its thick cut), the staff in charge of cleaning the tables came by, removed the affected meat, and returned with a new and much bigger portion of the beef as compensation. He also gave us two cans of drink for free. Nice ambient for hanging out with friends too. Would return to try other flavour.

Really really really pretty food. I go there about 7 times a month because of the food quality. I would recommend to add more meat selection. I am not saying they have very few selection, they do have a good choice of meat just that more would be helpful. I was first hesitant to go there when it first opened, but it didn’t disappoint me at all. You can’t deny that the pricing is right and food by seeing the long line of customers every single day. Yes, every time that I go there, they are crowded. I don’t know if that’s possible but they could work on more spacing between customers’ tables. I felt kinda tight but not really a big deal since the food is good. Keep doing what you guys are doing.

With a variety of broths like beef bone, sukiyaki, and Szechuan hot, plus an impressive selection of fresh ingredients including Kobe wagyu, veggies, and noodles, every bowl can be unique. What makes Mala Town stand out is their ‘mala-tang’ style where you can pick and weigh your ingredients, making it fun and personalized. I especially loved the Kobe wagyu—it was tender and cooked beautifully in the savory beef bone broth I chose. The ambiance is welcoming with a modern and clean setting, perfect for a casual lunch or a cozy dinner. The staff was helpful and the service was quick, which is great as the place can fill up quickly. Highly recommend for anyone in the Bay Area craving authentic, customizable hot pot. Really crowded when I came at 7pm on a weekday so make sure you have reservations. This place is cool, the price is 15/lb as of 2024. You get all your ingredients in a bowl and then pay up front. The meat is last of course. I suggest coming here not too hungry coz my friend ended up buying 3.5 lb of food and the receipt as hefty. After that they assign you a table and cook your food for you which is great. The broth is good and the free drinks and tea are great too! I'll definitely be coming back.

This is my first time coming here and the bowl noodle soup that I had was delicious. What a unique dining experience where I can pick and choose what I want. The broth I had was flavorful and the right amount of spices
